Barcelona-based Titan OS, which makes an operating system for smart TVs, has raised $46M (about €40M). Existing investors Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners put in equity. Funds and accounts managed by BlackRock added a credit facility, the company announced on Wednesday.
The round brings Titan OS's total funding to $110M. It follows a €50M Series A in December 2025.
“Our goal is clear: to become a true global player, built from Barcelona, in a market currently dominated by US and Asian companies,” said CFO Hyoung-Ung Kim.
Titan OS licenses its software to TV makers such as Philips, AOC, JVC, Vestel, Skyworth and Sharp. Its TVs reach viewers across Europe and Latin America. TV makers get a share of the advertising and channel revenue their screens earn after the sale. The company says it has grown revenue 15 times in its three years of operation.
30 million users
Titan OS now has 30 million users, up from 18 million a year ago, TechCrunch reported. Philips dropped Google TV for Titan OS on its 2026 models. The company also sells ads for TiVo in some regions and for Tubi in the UK.
Kim told TechCrunch that rising chip prices are pushing TV makers closer to partners that share revenue after a sale. Memory costs have already driven up prices for Roku's streaming devices and Amazon's Fire TV this year.
“The TV hardware industry is not a very profitable business. That's why they are so reliant on partners like Titan OS that share revenue after the sale of the TV,” Kim told TechCrunch.
Co-founder Tobias Pfalzgraff, who runs people and marketing, set Titan OS apart from Google, which he said steers viewers to YouTube.
“What differentiates us here from the walled gardens is that we do not have our own content offering,” Pfalzgraff told TechCrunch.
Against Tizen, webOS and Google TV
Titan OS will use the money to sign more TV makers and enter new markets. It will also build out its product and ad technology. It employs more than 200 people at its Barcelona headquarters and offices in London and Taipei.
Omdia expects newer TV systems, Titan OS, VIDAA and TiVo among them, to hold 28% of the European market by 2030, VideoWeek reported. It expects Samsung's Tizen, Google TV and LG's smart TV software to lose share.
Jacinto Roca founded Titan OS in 2023. He previously founded Wuaki.tv, the streaming service Rakuten bought. His co-founders are Timothy Edwards, Miquel Barba and Pfalzgraff.
